Joan Knight is an award-winning quilter in regional and national quilt venues. She is a national and international Certified Statler Instructor in all 6 versions of Creative Studio. Credits include magazine and book related articles including an article in a Japanese quilting magazine. Her love of creating is fed daily by students and Creative Studio. Pushing Creative Studio to its limits inspires her to reach higher in her own quilting and teaching. For more information, please see her website.Quilts & Things
Joyce has been operating Methodist Hill Quilt Studio since 2005, shortly after her “retirement” from her job as a finance manager at a Fortune 500 company that developed motion control equipment for many industrial applications. Because of her familiarity with computers and having watched engineers develop motion control applications, she thought her love of quilting and a Statler would be a perfect match to keep her busy in retirement. Not one to shy away from adventure, she dove right in and learned to design patterns using AutoSketch and has been a certified trainer for all versions of CreativeStudio. She especially enjoys designing patterns that take advantage of the many wonderful features of CreativeStudio and sharing her knowledge of the software through her All In One Club and the Skill Builders Club that she does with Joan Knight. Cindy began sewing as a young girl and has been sewing and quilting for more than 40 years. The passion for sewing and quilting has always been a large part of her life. Cindy quilted on a mid-arm machine until shortly after she retired from the FAA, at which time she purchased her Statler.
Cindy has quilted professionally since the beginning of 2012. Cindy and her husband reside in Texas.
Paula has devoted many years to her love of quilting, specializing in computerized custom quilting, heirloom quilting, piecing and heirloom sewing. She’s combined her expertise in computers with her passion for creating, culminating in the perfect union of skills on the longarm quilting machine. Paula’s talent in the classroom directly impacts her ability to present to a wide variety of students and consumers. Paula has been trained and certified in hand driving by Linda V Taylor.
